As the Chinese American population grows, we feel that training potential political candidates and community leaders become more critical.     History   OCAW was founded in the spring of 1977 by Pauline Tsui. To access the OCAW site click here.   Silicon Valley Chapter was founded in the spring of 1986 by Dorothy Huang.   Goals   Integrate Chinese American Woman into the mainstream of the American society. Improve the Chinese American image by increasing our self-respect, self-confidence     and self-esteem. Exchange cultural background and to eliminate racial and cultural misunderstanding. Address a variety of issues and concerns facing the Chinese American woman today. Help the Asian immigrants to understand and adapt to American society.
